~Dressed for The Drake~
This past weekend we had a wedding to attend back in sweet home Chicago. As if spending a couple days in the city wasn’t exciting enough, my husband surprised me by booking us at The Drake Hotel with his credit card points! Of course I had to take this opportunity for plenty of pics and to be well dressed for the Drake. I have to admit I was challenged by the lighting and my little knowledge of my camera settings. But the hubby and I did the best we could! Even caught some of the loveliness that is the Palm Court, where the Drake holds it’s historic Afternoon Tea!
As you may already know, I do not buy designer duds or expensive clothing. So I needed something classic, clean and on trend to love living in my life while in the Windy City. I had recently purchased this black and white striped, sleeveless dress with the asymmetrical hemline. Added tan leather strappy sandals and wide brimmed sunhat to finish the look. The black, white and tan colors are a classic combo. The shape hugging cut of the dress and simple sandal straps are clean, while the hem, straw hat and block heels are on trend. So perfect for a stylish Summer Sunday and being all dressed for The Drake Hotel!
