Jumpsuit for Lunch

Patio life is the life for me! Especially in a cute jumpsuit. Eating and drinking outside on gorgeous Summer day, in a great outfit with good people makes me REALLY happy! It feels like such a treat when you live in Wisconsin, or anywhere it’s cold for over half of the year. Give me a margarita or a pretty drink with a sprig in it and I am LOV-ING life. How long can I sit on this pretty patio before they make me leave? (*I used to be a server on a very busy Chicago patio. There was a 2 hour time limit stated on the menu, but if and when it was ever enforced…it did NOT go well.) I was definitely here longer than 2 hours this day, but luckily this is a different patio, my favorite patio, Tre Rivali in Milwaukee’s Third Ward

To feel fabulous while dining alfresco, I put on this cross-back linen blend, blue and white striped jumpsuit. I really love this piece and got so many compliments this day! The style feels like the perfect marriage of upscale and playful. Found one fateful, baby-free night, while trudging my way through the racks at Forever 21. Just as I heard the 15 min until close warning and was really starting to question what my 36 year old self was doing in there… I saw this jumpsuit. Quickly grabbed a piece for underneath and was out.

Why it works:

It’s a jumpsuit. Very on trend. I think that jumpsuits are the adult version of overalls. I like everyone in a jumpsuit, especially with the vertical stripes giving a longer, leaner look to the lady in them. Cropped tank underneath has straps the same width as the jumpsuit. The waist is elastic and cross-back straps have TWO button holes to accommodate different bodies. Plus this meant I didn’t have to hem them! I simply put on my good ol’ white wedges and grabbed my Gucci. Because Gucci balances out F21…right? It’s not the first and won’t be the last time I mix the two!
