Layers, Denim and Stripes… Oh my
Fall is here bringing all the cozy feels, and of course, the fashion along with it! I love that time of the year when it’s just a little brisk and you can throw on a couple of cute layers, with no jacket needed. When I put this duster over the vertical striped top and modern cut denim, I didn’t want to take any of it off. It’s on my list of perfect outfits to trend lightly in this Fall for sure.
I also heard this bag calling my name from the high shelf she sat on, like a queen on her throne. A queen with the power to MAKE the look. So I asked Lindsey, the stylist, to get her down for me. That’s when she told me it’s vegan leather! Gorgeous and good for the earth? Yes please.
Why it works
The modern cut, mid-rise, straight-legged cropped jeans are super cute and super current. The length is hitting me just right for my height and to show off my shoes. The top is soft and lightweight enough for layering with an elegant, drape-y feel tucked all the way in. The stripes are black, olive and ivory. I scoffed at this color combo at first, but I trust Lindsey. Put in on with the jeans, topped it with the camel duster, black pumps or flats to match the bag and there we had it, the perfect outfit!
