New Studio Space

~New Studio Space~

LaurInteriors has a new studio space! After a solid year of trying to work from home and sewing in my Milwaukee basement, I put it out to the universe and chatted with a few other creativepreneurs about finding a shared work space. Luckily, one of them was super serious about studio hunting and very familiar with the Milwaukee area. After walking through this all white wonderful warehouse space, we knew we had to snatch it up. May 1st we moved into the new studio space and started setting up our individual work areas. Wanted to keep things clean, so I opted for white furniture and shelving. Added in a few functional items, like the baskets and boxes to hold fabric scraps and sewing supplies. And a few decor items, like the plant life and yarn wall hanging I tried my hand at. Still in search of the right desk chair, but for now my butt rests just fine on the wooden folding chair until I find the perfect piece…. Maybe something in cognac leather?!

Working out of this new shared studio space has definitely been more motivating and had made LaurInteriors gain more momentum and productivity! The move was a must to keep me stitching stuff up and save my sanity. Working from home while maintaining the house was not as easy or glamorous as one might think…. A girl needs other humans to interact with! Not to mention the natural light in the studio is 100 times better than my basement. It also gives me the opportunity to explore a new area of Milwaukee. The warehouse held an open house earlier this month and the gentelman of Take7 Productions came in to shoot a quick video of us for the promo. Watch Video

Thanks for checking out my area of the new studio space and will keep updates coming as LaurInteriors continues to learn, grow and evolve into her entrepreneurship!
